About PT Perkebunan Kaltim Utama I (PKU)
TBS holds a 99.54% ownership stake in PT Perkebunan Kaltim Utama I (PKU), which operates a 30-year licensed oil palm plantation across an HGU area of 8,633 hectares in East Kalimantan, encompassing Tani Bhakti, Tani Harapan, Batuah, Loa Janan, Java, Sangasanga, Dondang, and Teluk Dalam sub-districts within Muara Jawa, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. These regions are integral to the local economy and ecology, supporting community development and biodiversity conservation. In 2016, PKU launched a state-of-the-art palm oil mill with the capacity to process 30 tons of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) per hour, allowing us to add value to our output and strengthen downstream synergies.
